Sipuro was founded in Switzerland in 1951 by Heinrich Rohrer. The first product to be brought into the market was a drain cleaner. The name Sipuro is an abbreviation for siphon cleaning pipes.

Over the years, Sipuro has made a name for itself in the field of specialty cleaners for the entire household. In 2019, Sipuro became part of the Bolton family.
