Toward a more circular economy
To protect the planet, we must go beyond mere conservation and rethink the entire production and consumption cycle. We believe that this approach can, over time, contribute to a more efficient use of resources and a reduction in waste.
Responsible sourcing and use of raw materials
We aim to reduce the environmental and social impact of the ingredients and raw materials we use.
Regarding the company’s activities in the food sector, we are committed to responsible sourcing of tuna, mackerel, sardines, anchovies, mussels, salmon, beef, vegetables, and oil. For beef, we work with suppliers who follow the principles of the Global Roundtable for Sustainable Beef, recognizing the importance of animal welfare and ensuring traceability. For vegetables and oil, our policies require suppliers to manage soil and water responsibly and minimize the use of pesticides.
In the Home Care, Personal Care, and Beauty categories, we aim to replace fossil-based ingredients with natural ones and have blacklisted certain ingredients while seeking more sustainable alternatives.

Winni's Biofermentation
Winni’s brings the innovation of BIOFERMENTATION to home care.
Biofermentation is a transformation process in which selected yeasts ferment and convert oils and sugars into active cleaning and stain-removing agents. They are used in liquid laundry detergents and dishwashing detergents.
Beauty Without Water
Bolton has adopted a “water-free” approach for certain product formulations, with the aim of improving their environmental performance.
These water-free products are more concentrated and therefore require less packaging material per unit of active ingredient. This also helps reduce transport-related emissions compared to conventional water-based products. Examples include Collistar’s Cleansing Butter and Cleansing Powder. Cavaillès and Omia have also adopted this approach, with their solid facial care products and solid shampoos, respectively.
Reducing the environmental impact of packaging
We have partnered with WWF Italy to assess the sustainability of our packaging and identify areas for improvement, with a particular focus on the responsible use of plastic. This collaboration has helped strengthen our packaging policies and procedures and promote innovation in support of our goals.
As part of this process, we have also revised our Packaging Policy, which defines our strategy for promoting a circular economy in packaging.
Reducing waste in our operations
In our operations, we prioritize the reuse, recycling, or responsible disposal of waste to reduce the amount sent to landfills and incinerated without energy recovery. We actively engage with specialized companies and local authorities to explore appropriate treatment solutions for every type of waste. In addition, we are identifying potential synergies with public and private entities in our local communities that are interested in waste recovery and valorization initiatives.
Packaging Ethics Charter Foundation
In 2023, we became ambassadors for the Packaging Ethics Charter Foundation, which promotes a set of shared values within the packaging supply chain. We are thus aligning our activities with the principles of the Packaging Ethics Charter, with a particular focus on safety, transparency, and sustainability.
